Established on 1st January 1981, Pole Star College is a distinguished co-educational institution located in the serene environs of Hiyanglam-Wabagai in Kakching District, Manipur, approximately 34 kilometres from Imphal. Since its inception, the college has steadily grown into a centre of academic excellence and intellectual vitality.

        The institution has been permanently affiliated with Manipur University since 2002 and is duly recognized under Sections 2(f) and 12(b) of the University Grants Commission Act. It attained the status of a Government Aided (Grant-in-Aid) college on 25th October 2021, marking a significant milestone in its journey of growth and recognition.
